BeOpen partners City of Herne and Herne Digital are involved in the organization of the first Smart City Days Herne. The event will take place on 21/22 September at Shamrock Park Herne.
The event will start with the German-speaking FIWARE network meeting and will be followed by further impulses on the Cityverse as a prelude to the Digital.Herne. Business event, which will be about the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence.
Speeches will include mentions to BeOpen, as a project oriented to the design of a trust framework that will set guidelines to increase the availability, quality and usability of High Value Datasets held by the public sector in compliance with the requirements set out in the Open Data Directive, INSPIRE Directive, and the AI Act.
The ruhrvalley Convention will take place on topics of interests in BeOpen, such as IT security, smart mobility, smart energy and digitalisation.
During the series of events, there will be an accompanying trade fair with tech companies, such as ISAP, Bechtle or rku.it, as well as municipal subsidiaries, such as the Stadtwerke Herne, the Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft or also numerous specialist departments of the city.
The event will be rounded off with the opportunity to experience digitisation first-hand and visit the FIWARE Lego World.
