Leveraging High Value Datasets to enhance urban governance
At the IFIP EGOV 2024 conference, Leuven 3-5 September 2024, Luca Alessandro Remotti, Managing Partner of DataPower, showcased the BeOpen project, which focuses on developing High-Value Datasets (HVDs) to drive smart city and smart governance applications using AI and machine learning. BeOpen, involving eight smart cities, leverages HVDs to enable data-driven smart services that enhance urban governance and citizen engagement.
During the presentation, real-world examples were shared of how these datasets power AI-based applications, delivering improved governance, economic benefits, and more efficient public services through smart solutions.
The IFIP EGOV 2024 conference took place in Belgium, hosted by Ghent University and KU Leuven. The conference focused on key topics such as Digital Government, e-Participation, Open Government, Smart Government, AI Government, GovTech, and Algorithmic Governance.
Bringing together experts in e-Government and e-Democracy, the conference addressed the latest advancements in government digitalization.
