On February 27, 2025, the 4th General Assembly of BeOpen took place in Herne, Germany, bringing together project partners to assess progress, share insights, and define the next steps in leveraging High-Value Datasets (HVDs) for smarter, data-driven cities.
The day kicked off with a warm welcome from the city of Herne, followed by a project status update from the project coordinator from Engineering. The spotlight was on pilot execution and digital services, with each pilot city presenting their latest developments, testing progress, and stakeholder engagement.
Key discussions included:
✅ Advancing HVDs – Updates on digital services and testing across pilot cities.
✅ Validation & Replication – KPI collection, evaluation, and strategies for scaling impact.
✅ Technical Advancements – Final version of the BeOpen Framework and integration of Naples & Attica pilots.
✅ Dissemination & Exploitation – Plans for upcoming events, publications, and the definition of Key Exploitable Results (KERs).
The assembly concluded with an outlook on upcoming activities, setting the stage for the final steps in the BeOpen journey.
